KC Royals Place Five Players In Top 100

Salvador Perez: Ranked 62nd
Salvador Perez fully embodies the spirit of the current version of the Kansas City Royals. No matter how many times he takes one off the chin, he hangs tough and keeps on grinning. When the Royals win, Salvy is front and center in the celebration when he gives the game’s MVP a post-game ice bath.
Perez may be the best at reminding everyone that they’re just playing a game. He’s constantly smiling or doing something to get the rest of the team doing the same. Salvador Perez won the MVP award for the World Series in 2015. In typical Salvy style, he chose the Camaro as his prize, otherwise known as the ‘fun’ option.
Let’s relive some of his highlights from the 2015 season:
Salvador Perez simply loves to play the game of baseball. No matter how banged up or tired he may be, he doesn’t like to sit games out. While it’s terrible for his knees and his bat suffers from time to time as a result, it provides plenty of opportunities for him to make plays similar to the ones in the video above. Look for Salvy to be behind the dish as often as possible again in 2016.
