KC Royals: Top Ten Web Gems 2015 Regular Season

Number 3: Cain Starts The Year Out Right
White Sox at Royals, April 9th
The Royals didn’t have to wait long to see some of the defense that Lorenzo Cain put on display during the 2014 postseason.
He gave the Royals fans a show and a scare in the second inning of the third game of the season. He also welcomed Edinson Volquez to the team by showing him how to tip his cap.
It left everyone in the stands a little bit on edge as Lorenzo Cain rolled around on the ground in pain. Eventually he sprung up to his feet and all was right with the World.
Cain continued to be a thorn in the White Sox side. He’s played well against them in his career and only the night before had put the Royals on top with a moonshot to left field.
This opening series was just the beginning of good things to come for Lorenzo who would go on to win third-place in the MVP voting.
