Number 9: Cain Keeps It In The Yard

Royals at White Sox, September 29th

Without a doubt, Johnny Cueto is the star of this web gem. His hanging breaking balls made this play and many more like it possible.

That’s not really true. Most of his hangers might have been web gem material but you’d have to scan the outfield seats to find the play.

Alright, that’s enough of a hard time for Johnny Cueto. He did his job when it mattered the most. The Royals won the World Series and all else is forgiven.

This one would turn into another loss for the Royals and Johnny Cueto. It’s something they got a little too comfortable with when he took the mound (Okay, now I’m really done ragging on him).

Cain did his very best to keep the Royals in this one with a great catch at the wall. Whether or not this one would have gone over is debatable, but who’s to argue with Rex Hudler?

Cain made a few catches at the wall this past season, but this one was one of his best.
