Number 2: Gordo Mingles With The Fans

Royals at White Sox, April 26th

Alex Gordon made not one but two great plays in this game against the White Sox. Unfortunately it would all be for naught as the White Sox would come back to win the game.

Volquez stayed in the game just a little bit too long as the Royals gave up five runs in the sixth inning. It’s hard to believe that a game that featured two great defensive gems could be lost with poor defense.

Alex Gordon decided to introduce himself to the fans near the foul line in left-field. He didn’t need an ice-breaker or an invitation, he just jumped right in.

He’s never been much of a social pariah but on this day, he decided to mingle among the fans and show off his leather in the process.

It was one of the highlight reel plays in all of the Majors during the regular season and surprisingly it wasn’t the Royals’ best defensive play of the year.
