KC Royals Payroll for 2016: The Infield

How far have the Royals come in the last five years? Just the infielder payroll is higher in 2016 than the whole payroll was in 2011!

Here is how the salaries look for the infielders this season, going from highest to lowest, according to Spotrac.

The infielders alone total $40,952,500 for this season.

To offset that, they have a the three-time All-Star and three-time Gold Glove winner tied up through 2019 in a very club friendly deal. Don’t be surprised if this isn’t reworked at some point.
