Kelvin Herrera

Kelvin Herrera has lived up his reputation of being one of the baddest boys in all of baseball. His antics, along with his fiery pitching and ability to make batters squirm, got the whole “Straight Outta Kauffman” theme going last year.

That will not be Herrera’s walk out song though. Herrera is one of the scariest relievers in all of baseball. He can throw a 100 MPH fastball and will not hesitate to do so at an opposing player’s head (Brett Lawrie).

Remember in the series against Oakland last year? Of course you do, how could you forget?

Herrera, retaliating after both Alcides Escobar and Lorenzo Cain had been slid into and beaned with a pitch, threw a 100 MPH fastball behind Brett Lawrie’s head, and that opened a whole can of whoop ass.

This is why Kelvin Herrera’s walk-out song is “He Got Game” by Public Enemy.

This song epitomizes Herrera to a tee. The guy has a swagger about him, and one that not a lot of guys want to see come out when facing him.

Hopefully, Herrera can continue to terrify opposing batters and do what he does best – Throw hard and get outs.
