Ian Kennedy

Finally, we get to the new guy in town, Ian Kennedy.

Kennedy, signed to a massive five-year contract worth $70 million, has some big shoes to fill in Kansas City. He’s coming to a team that just won their first World Series title in three decades, and he knows what’s at stake.

Kennedy being new to town gave the writers of this post no choice but to assign him a song from New Kids on the Block. Which song though? They’re all so catchy.

The one that best fits with Kennedy’s situation is “Hangin’ Tough”.

Ian Kennedy will be starting the 2016 season with a fresh start. He’s got a new team, new confidence, and he truly is “Hangin’ Tough” in Kansas City.

With Kennedy in the rotation, the Royals have their rotation halfway figured out. Now they just need the new guy to perform well and eat up innings.

Next: He's back!
