Danny Trevathan, Inside Linebacker (Denver)

With Derrick Johnson possibly on the way out, Broncos star linebacker, Danny Trevathan, could almost be an upgrade. Trevathan, along with Von Miller, were some of the defensive stars of Super Bowl 50. Both got to the quarterback, and made plays to help the Broncos win the game. During that game, Trevathan recovered two fumbles.

  • Trevathan has a lot of talent, and also has the athleticism and skills to make big plays on a play by play basis. Trevathan would bring a quick body to the middle of the field that has the ability and instincts to help stop the run and rush the passer.

Being a Super Bowl champion on an absolutely dominating defense, Trevathan would bring big game experience to a Chiefs team not used to the spotlight (at least not yet). The Chiefs defense is loaded with talent, and Danny Trevathan may bring the level even higher to make the Chiefs the defense to be afraid of.

Last season Danny Trevathan recorded 73 tackles and two interceptions, which one he was able to run back for a touchdown.

Trevathan will not come cheap and would be a big sign for the Chiefs. If they were to sign him, he would probably be one of the only the only free agents signed. That could mean losing three big names from Kansas City in Derrick Johnson, Eric Berry, and Tamba Hali.

It would be a interesting move if John Dorsey tried to sign Trevathan. Imagine him with Justin Houston and Dee Ford, it could be a recipe for disaster….. For the other team.
