  • With the Chiefs possibly losing players like Mike DeVito, Jaye Howard, Tamba Hali, and Derrick Johnson, the need for stopping the run will be prominent in 2016. Not to mention, Dontari Poe is heading into the final year of his contract, so the Chiefs need to be looking to fill the holes their defense could possess in the next few seasons.

Valentine is a lesser known name on draft boards, but make no mistake that this would be a solid addition to the Chiefs’ defensive line. During his three years with the Cornhuskers, Valentine racked up 76 tackles and seven sacks.

At 6’3″ and 320 pounds, Valentine proves to be a tough force to try and block. He’s great at getting after the quarterback and would fit right in with this stellar KC Chiefs defense.

John Dorsey has shown that he’s a fan of building his defense on younger guys, and Valentine would be a great pick to keep this tradition going.
