Salvador Perez

Salvador Perez plays the game with a childlike demeanor that his teammates and fans have come to love.

He may be as well known for his Instagram account as for his play on the field. Perez demonstrated a love for the game and a toughness that helped him win World Series MVP.

He took several fouled pitches off the mask and looked concussed on more than one occasion. He took a beating behind the dish but just kept on going.

Behind the scenes, Perez likes to torment Lorenzo Cain by recording him and uploading the recordings to social media. If you want to see some of his videos checkout this link.

Salvy’s walk-up song is ‘#Selfie’ by The Chainsmokers.

He isn’t an asset to this team because of his ability to take selfies. He’s the leader of a post-game celebration that sees the hero of the game get doused with ice water.

Outside of his antics, he is one of the most valuable players for the Royals. He’s caught more games in a two-year period than any catcher in history. His durability is impressive and his will to stay in the game rubs off on the rest of the team.

What song would you choose for the Royals’ catcher?
