Kendrys Morales

Kendrys Morales had a poor year in 2014. He didn’t sign with a team until the season was already underway and batted a miserable .218 in the few games that he did play.

For a while it looked like he may be done with baseball. Dayton Moore took a chance on the player who struggled the year before and it paid dividends for the Royals.

Morales was up for comeback player of the year but lost that honor to Prince Fielder. I don’t think Morales would want to call it a comeback anyways. He had good numbers in both 2012 and 2013 and simply got a late start in 2014. For that reason, Morales’ song is ‘Mama Said Knock You Out’ by LL Cool J.

The opening line to the song is “Don’t call it a comeback, I’ve been here for years”.

Morales hasn’t been in Kansas City for years, but he’s been there long enough to win a world series. He also delivered a three-run shot against the Astros in the deciding game that helped ‘knock them out’.

What song would you choose for Kendrys Morales?
