Everyone has a song selection that get’s them fired up. What should the Kansas City Royals use for walk-up music in 2016?

Everyone appreciates a good walk-up song and that holds especially true for the KC Royals. In 2015, the Royals’ song of choice was ‘Trap Queen’ made famous by Fetty Wap.

The players embraced the team’s devotion to this song by fining each other if they failed to reference the song in interviews. It was just another example of the fun-loving culture that existed in the locker room.

If each player could use a walk-up song that exemplified how they play the game, what would that sound like?

I’ll use the projected lineup that I came up with a few weeks ago to sort out each player. That lineup looked like this:

  1. Alcides Escobar
  2. Alex Gordon
  3. Lorenzo Cain
  4. Eric Hosmer
  5. Kendrys Morales
  6. Mike Moustakas
  7. Salvador Perez
  8. Jarrod Dyson
  9. Christian Colon

The song choices won’t necessarily be adrenaline pumping anthems that inspire you to burn some calories. These walk-up songs are based entirely on what that player means to the team and to the lineup.

Alright. That’s enough small talk. Let’s hear some tunes!
