Kansas City Chiefs: Ten Best Seasons In Team History

Kansas City Chiefs fans have stuck by their favorite NFL team for years and are known as one of the best fan bases in all of sports. Which ten seasons were the best for the franchise?

The KC Chiefs have been an NFL team since 1970 and were with the AFL for seven years before that. They’re a team with an established history, and one that has some of the most dedicated fans in all of sports. Arrowhead Stadium is the loudest outdoor stadium, and Kansas City has some of the best tailgating known to man.

The 2015 season saw the Chiefs post one of their most successful seasons to date. The team went 11-5 and won a playoff game. Winning a playoff game was something that all fans wanted coming into the season, and they got just that.

By the time the Chiefs lost in the Divisional round, fans were already writing the season off as a win. Obviously the ultimate goal is to make it to the Super Bowl, but the Chiefs hadn’t experienced the taste of victory in the postseason since the 1993 season.

Twenty-two years had come and gone without this team winning a playoff game. It was rough.

Fortunately, the Chiefs finally have that monkey off their back, but it didn’t progress any in 2016. Both the 2015 and 2016 seasons make this list, but what number did it place at, and what other seasons made the list?

One last thing… Since the Kansas City Chiefs have had a storied history of blowing it in the playoffs, this list is based off of the regular season, placing in the division, and if they won a major game in the postseason.
