Houston Astros: Early April

The KC Royals only have to play five games before they head back to Minute Maid Park on April 11th. They’ll play a four-game series against the Astros who’ll likely be looking for some revenge.

The Royals were the last team the Astros played at home in 2015. This year they’ll be playing in the Astros’ home opener.

The Astros have a lot of young talent on their team. Lance McCullers may have sparked some fire in the Royals with his ‘throat slashing’ but this year he’ll probably look to silence the Royals’ bats with his pitching.

Whether it’s a passed ball by a sure-handed defender, getting picked-off at a crucial moment, or sending out celebratory tweets when the Royals still have outs to play with, they’ll likely look to correct their mistakes.

The Astros’ downfall in the division series may have been their bullpen. They’ve addressed that issue by trading for young closer, Ken Giles. It will be interesting to see if that addition will be enough for them to beat the Royals.

The Astros probably have a lot of things they’d like to atone for. Whether it’s a passed ball by a sure-handed defender, getting picked-off at a crucial moment, or sending out celebratory tweets when the Royals still have outs to play with, they’ll likely look to correct their mistakes.

Even if the Astros aren’t out to prove a point, this will be a good series to watch. The Astros are stock full of young superstars like George Springer, Jose Altuve, and Carlos Correa. They’re a fun team to watch, and these two teams should produce some great baseball.
