Cam Newton averaged 39.8 yards per game on the ground during the regular season. He’s only averaged 25 yards per game in this years post-season games.
Those two things make it very hard to determine how to bet for the next prop bet. This prop bet has to do with how many rushing yards Cam Newton will have. The line for this prop bet is:
Newton rushes over 37.5 yards (-110) vs. Newton rushes less than 37.5 yards (-110)
What this means is it will take a bet of $110 to earn $100. (Total payout = $210: $110 bet plus $100 winnings)
KC Chiefs’ fans should be hoping for Newton to rush for more than 37.5 yards. In his career, when Newton rushes over 37.5 yards the Panthers typically win. When he rushes for less than that, they typically lose.
Chiefs’ fans should be rooting to see Newton do something like this on Super Bowl Sunday. (Even if you’re not a Newton fan, this is impressive, and worth watching)
Newton holding onto the ball to the ball is probably a sign that the Panthers are trying to control the clock and may have the game under control. If Newton is dropping back to pass, it may mean they’re in trouble.
