Number 5 Biggest Surprise Player for the Chiefs – Jaye Howard

Jaye Howard is a beast. That’s really all there is to it, but let’s go more into detail at least.

He now will hit the free agency market, and it’d really suck if another team was able to snatch Howard away from the Chiefs.

Starting in all but two games this season, Howard proved to be a dominant force along the defensive line. He totaled five and a half sacks along with 36 tackles. He also forced one fumble.

Howard has been an absolute steal for the Kansas City Chiefs since coming to the franchise in 2013. He now will hit the free agency market, and it’d really suck if another team was able to snatch Howard away from the Chiefs.

With so many other guys becoming free agents and the performance Howard put on in 2015, it will be very difficult for the Chiefs to retain his services.

Still, at least we can appreciate the impact Jaye Howard has had on this defense in the three years he’s been a Chief. Maybe he’ll have a future in Kansas City, but if not, be thankful for the 35 games he played in during three years.
