Number 7 Biggest Surprise Player for the Chiefs – Tamba Hali

As much as fans love Tamba Hali in Kansas City, no one expected him to have the season he did in 2015.

Tamba Hali is a free agent as of now, and it’d be really strange to see the guy wearing a jersey other than the Chiefs.

At 31 years old (when the season began, he’s now 32), Hali restructured his contract so that he could play for the Chiefs for at least one more year. It was a move that proved chivalry isn’t dead, and Hali rewarded the team even more by performing admirably out on the field.

Hali recorded 39 tackles, six and a half sacks, two forced fumbles, and one defended pass, and showed that he’s nowhere near the end of his NFL tenure just yet.

What hurt Hali down the stretch was injuries. He hurt his thumb in the last few weeks of the season, and had to sit out for a game. Upon returning, Hali didn’t look nearly as good as he did early on. Still though. The guy played pretty well for being in the league for ten years.

Tamba Hali is a free agent as of now, and it’d be really strange to see the guy wearing a jersey other than the Chiefs. With his age though, the Chiefs might decide to let Hali test the free agent market, but he also might elect to once again take less money to play in Kansas City.

He truly is a one of a kind guy, and hopefully, he can be a Chief for life.
