Number Three: Chiefs 33 – Chargers 3

It should be noted that the Chargers were not a good team this year. They spent most of their season trying to sign guys off the street to fill the holes left by a team riddled with injuries.

No matter how bad the Chargers are, it’s always satisfying to beat them and the seemingly whiny Philip Rivers.

Spencer Ware dominated on the ground carrying the ball 11 times times for 96 yards. He also racked up two touchdowns.

The Chiefs didn’t just beat the Chargers on their home turf, they destroyed them. They held the Chargers offense in check for a measly 201 yards. Gone are the days when Philip Rivers can just chuck up a prayer hoping that a huge wide receiver will pull it out of the air.

Dontari Poe opened the scoring with a one yard touchdown that can only be explained as “rumbling, bumbling, stumbling” as he became the heaviest player in NFL history to rush for a touchdown.

Spencer Ware dominated on the ground carrying the ball 11 times times for 96 yards. He also racked up two touchdowns.

Alex Smith played a very good form of ‘game-manager’ as he went 20-25 with over 250 yards passing. Heading to San Diego is always somewhat of a home coming for Smith and he showed that he is very comfortable when playing there.

It was the third straight stifling performance by the Chiefs and this win put them at 5-5 on the season. They had a long way to go to get to the playoffs, but all of a sudden there was a buzz around KC football again.
