The Royals are in great shape for 2016. While it seems impossible, this could be their most dominate bullpen yet.

With five real candidates for the closer job, the Royals can’t make a wrong choice where closer is concerned. If someone struggles they have several options to fall back on.

I for one, would like to see Soria take up his old mantle as closer for the Royals. It would be fun to see what kind of numbers he can put up with a good team behind him. Hochevar would be my second choice if he has a strong camp.

The Royals bullpen isn’t as feared as the Yankees flame throwing trio, but they have far more depth and can deal with wear and tear a little better than that bunch.

The job most likely belongs to Wade Davis, but anything can happen. Yost used Davis as the set up man as long as he could and full well knew that he was his best reliever. He could choose to go that route again.
