Kansas City Chiefs: A Look Back At The 2015 Season
The KC Chiefs had new life with a 4-5 record. Could they capitalize on it?
In week 11, the Chiefs headed to San Diego to play a struggling Chargers squad. This game was originally supposed to be a Sunday Night Football match-up on NBC, but was flexed in favor of the Bengals/Cardinals game.
Winning their final ten games of the season put the KC Chiefs in position to clinch a playoff berth, and the team ALMOST won the AFC West.
The Chiefs absolutely crushed the Chargers and were sitting at 5-5 and suddenly were in playoff conversations, something that was unthought of after their poor start.
After this game against the Chargers, the Chiefs had a very favorable schedule and the playoffs didn’t seem like too crazy of a thought. They defeated the Bills in a close week 12 match-up, and closed out the season with victories against the Raiders, Chargers (again), Ravens, Browns, and Raiders (again).
Winning their final ten games of the season put the KC Chiefs in position to clinch a playoff berth, and the team ALMOST won the AFC West. Had the Broncos faltered in their final two games, the Chiefs would have won the division, which is absolutely crazy to think about.
Instead, the Chiefs settled for a five seed in the AFC playoff picture and would be hitting the road to Houston, Texas, which coincidentally is where the 2015 season began.
