The Good: Travis Kelce

With this being a playoff game, I figured I’d list multiple things that were good, and Travis Kelce was one of the good. Kelce was more than good, he was GREAT, ending the day with eight receptions for 128 yards with a long of 48 yards.

With Jeremy Maclin potentially out for the rest of the playoffs, it’ll be important for Travis Kelce to step up and continue to be that dominating force on the offense.

Kelce became Alex Smith‘s key target in this game, and he dominated. You could probably say that Kelce is Houston’s kryptonite, as he had a monster game against them back in the season opener (the only difference was that he scored two touchdowns in that one, and didn’t get in the end zone in this one, but still…).

With Jeremy Maclin potentially out for the rest of the playoffs, it’ll be important for Travis Kelce to step up and continue to be that dominating force on the offense. What will make it more difficult will that without Maclin out, Kelce could see double coverage against the Patriots next weekend.

Let’s hope the news on Maclin isn’t completely awful and that he is able to play, but if not, we know that Travis Kelce has the potential to be Smith’s go-to guy.
