The KC Chiefs won their first playoff game since 1994 on Saturday, and they did so in blowout fashion against the Houston Texans. The Chiefs won 30-0 in Houston.

The monkey is off the backs of the Kansas City Chiefs, as they did something no Chiefs team could do in 22 years by winning a playoff game. The win broke an eight-game losing streak in the postseason for the Chiefs.

Not only did the Chiefs win their first playoff game since Joe Montana was quarterbacking the Chiefs, but they put the hammer down on the Texans. Houston was not able to put any points on the board, and the defense only forced one Chiefs turnover, while the KC defense forced five.

The Chiefs were the first to shut a team out in the playoffs since the 2005 Carolina Panthers did it to the New York Giants, which is impressive.

Kansas City needed this win, not only to end that stupid streak, but because they needed to show the rest of the nation that they’re a good football team. They have the ability to make it far into the playoffs, and this game showcased that to everyone.

It was a special day for Kansas City, and now it’s time to take a look at what was good, what was bad, and what was ugly.
