Alex Smith does a pretty good job at protecting the football.
This game should be a defensive slug fest and whichever team cracks first might be out of luck.
Aside from two VERY bad decisions against Oakland, Smith usually does well at not turning the ball over in the air. He also tends to play well in the playoffs so look for Smith to be on top of his game.
He’s performed admirably in the playoffs during his 11-year career, tossing for nine touchdowns and zero picks. Hopefully this trend continues on Saturday.
Where the Chiefs can get into trouble is fumbles. Houston has forced 12 fumbles this season and recovered 11 of them. Basically, if the ball is loose on the ground, expect the Texans to come up with it.

If Kansas City can protect the football and continue being opportunistic on defense, they should have the upper hand.
