KC Chiefs: Could Christian Hackenberg Be Next Franchise Quarterback

The KC Chiefs might not be in draft mode yet, but they will be in the next month. It’s important to think about what direction this team will go in with the draft come April.

Is this the year the Kansas City Chiefs draft their quarterback of the future? Is Christian Hackenberg that quarterback? Most minds in Kansas City are on the playoffs, but 20 other NFL teams are already focusing in on the draft.

Certainly there is some debate as to whether the Chiefs even need to draft a quarterback. There is rightfully even more debate as to whether that quarterback should be Christian Hackenberg.

After watching his tape from games against Temple (bad), Illinois (good) and Michigan State (average game against a good defense), it seems to me like Christian Hackenberg would be a good investment. Each issue should be tackled separately though.
