Kansas State football finished the 2015 season with a disappointing loss in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl on Saturday afternoon. The loss put them at 6-7 on the year.

Well, it wasn’t the season Kansas State fans had hoped for and this 45-23 loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks really showed why K-State struggled this season. Their defense couldn’t stop anything, the quarterback carousel continued in this game with Kody Cook getting the start, and well… Let’s just move on to basketball season now.

K-State was ahead until late in the first quarter and never retook the lead after that. The Wildcats actually looked pretty good early, as the defense intercepted Arkansas quarterback Brandon Allen’s third pass of the game. Elijah Lee jumped in front of the receiver and gave KSU great field position.

Cook took advantage of the opportunity, and got the Cats into the red zone. Winston Dimel had the first score of the game on a ten-yard rush into the end zone.

It was exciting to see the team strike first, especially when seeing the stat during the broadcast that the Wildcats are 28-2 when scoring first (since 2011). Of course, that stat didn’t work in this one. Arkansas took the lead late in the first quarter and never looked back.

Let’s get to the final good, bad, and ugly edition for the 2015 Kansas State football season.
