KC Chiefs News: Tyvon Branch, Mitch Morse, and More
Kansas City Chiefs’ safety Tyvon Branch won AFC Defensive Player of the Week, Mitch Morse is back at practice finally, and more.
Tyvon Branch, the Chiefs new saftey, acquired after he spent a few years with Oakland, won the AFC Defensive Player of the Week award. He was good for four tackles and a interception that he returned for a touchdown. Branch was very deserving, as he played his heart out in his first visit back to Oakland.
Starting center Mitch Morse was back on the practice field yesterday after being out a few weeks with a head injury. The Chiefs were playing it really slow with the young center. It was probably a good idea, as he seemed to be rattled by the injury for awhile. Morse returning to the lineup should send Zach Fulton, who has been playing relatively well other than the Raiders game, back to the bench for the Chiefs.
The Chiefs have been the talk of the town after winning 6 straight. They are currently sitting at the #4 spot in the AFC standings after starting the season 1-5, looking all but done for the season and looking forward to the draft.
