After a 1-5 start, the Kansas City Chiefs have bounced back to a 6-5 record and are poised to make a run for the playoffs. What games are left on Kansas City’s schedule though?

The Chiefs are fortunate with their remaining schedule this season, and this bodes very well for them at the moment, as they currently hold the fifth spot in the playoff standings. There are still five games remaining in the season, but the Chiefs don’t face an opponent with a record over .500 for the rest of the season.

Let’s take a look at every game left this season and discuss the Chiefs’ chances to win each one.

Sunday, December 6th at Oakland Raiders (5-6; 2-3 at home), 3:05 CST

Well, it’s week 13 and the Chiefs and Raiders have yet to face off. This has been a different season for the Oakland Raiders, who are actually in the thick of things when it comes to playoff talk.

Oakland always puts up a good fight against Kansas City, even when they’re playing poorly for most of the season.

The Raiders haven’t been to the postseason since they made it to the Super Bowl in 2002, but Derek Carr and Amari Cooper have made all the difference in the black hole.

If there’s any sort of “trap game” for the Chiefs heading down the stretch, this game is it. The Raiders aren’t a bad team this year, they’re actually quite good on the offensive side of the ball, and their defense isn’t too shabby either.

Oakland always puts up a good fight against Kansas City, even when they’re playing poorly for most of the season.

Take last season for example. The Raiders were 0-10 heading into a Thursday night match-up against Kansas City, who were riding a five-game win streak, and Oakland ended up beating KC to get their first victory of the season.

The Chiefs are in a similar spot as they were last year. They’ve won five games in a row, are back to relevancy, and the Raiders are only one win behind them in the division. Sure, neither team will likely win the AFC West, but the Raiders aren’t out of the playoff running quite yet.

If the Chiefs are going to lose any game in these last five, it’ll be this one, against Oakland, on the road, and after five straight wins. Not to mention, Kansas City has been bitten by the injury bug a lot lately.
