Sit ‘Em #2
Sammy Watkins has struggled pretty badly in his last two games after having a pretty hot start to the season. This falls in line with the rest of the team who started out looking like they could make some noise in the playoffs. Since then, they have fallen to 5-5 and out of the playoff picture for now.
Quarterback Tyrod Taylor has come back to earth after looking like the find of the year in the beginning of the season. Watkins and the Bills head to Kansas City to take on the red hot Chiefs who have won four straight.
The Chiefs’ top cornerbacks Sean Smith and Marcus Peters are nothing to sneeze at. Peters is, in my opinion, so far the AFC Defensive Rookie of the year, while Smith is playing like one of the top-15 corners in the league. Watkins will be shadowed by one of these guys every play, and I don’t see him having much room to break free.
If you have Watkins, I would think about looking elsewhere to fill receiver and flex spots this week. Consider him a low-end flex at best this week.
Buyer beware.
