Sit ‘Em #1
Matt Ryan has arguably been one of the most disappointing quarterbacks in the NFL thus far this season. Again failing in too many games. It seems like the Falcons are always having trouble when Ryan is at the helm, no matter who the head coach is.
Ryan had 15 throws to Julio Jones last week and accounted for 160 of his passing yards in an otherwise sloppy outing for Atlanta’s signal-caller. He now has seven turnovers in the last four weeks after recording only six over the season’s first six games, and will need to clean up his game if he wants to succeed against a tough Vikings defense next week.
Look for Ryan to shoulder a lot of the offensive load in coming weeks, as star running back Devonta Freeman could miss some time with a concussion. Tevin Coleman will be the primary ball-carrier in his absence.
In Week 12, Ryan and the Falcons take on the surprisingly stingy Minnesota Vikings defense. The Vikings have bee all-around surprising thus far this season, and I don’t see the struggling Falcons’ offense being able to get much of anything going against them.
Consider him a low-end start in fantasy this week. I would look elsewhere this week.
