Start ‘Em #3

Alfred Blue rushed 21 times for 58 yards and caught all three of his targets for 34 yards and a touchdown last week, which came on a pass from wideout Cecil Shorts, during Sunday’s 24-17 win over the Jets.

Blue is a reserve running back who iw in the starting lineup as of now due to starter Arian Foster being out for the season with injury.

Blue continues to get a healthy chunk of the backfield touches, as Jonathan Grimes rushed six times for 37 yards and Akeem Hunt rushed twice for just four. Blue has always been more of a volume accumulator than a back averaging 5.0 YPC, though he has a great chance to improve in Week 12 against a porous Saints defense.

The Saints’ defense ranks third worst in the NFL in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs. Blue should be in for his second consecutive solid performance.

Consider him at best as a #2 fantasy running back for Week 12. Don’t feel pressure to start him, as in my opinion, he’s a pretty big hit-or-miss play.
