Fantasy Football Week 12 of the 2015 NFL season: Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em

Week 12 of the 2015 NFL season is here, and that means it is time to take a look at those fantasy football lineups.

This is my Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em article where I try to help you make some tough lineup decisions, whether that means starting a players that normally doesn’t start for your team, or benching a player that is normally in your starting lineup.

Here are my Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em picks from LAST week, to get to Week 12’s start/sit picks just go to the next slide of the article).

Last Week’s Start ‘Em

QB. Denver Broncos. Brock Osweiler. 5. player. 45.

Brock Osweiler got his first start of the 2015 NFL season in Week 11, as starter Peyton Manning is out with a plantar facitis injury in his foot. Osweiler led the Broncos to a win against the Chicago Bears, and threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns.

In standard fantasy football leagues, he put up 22 points, and was a pretty good start in most bigger leagues. He should continue to flourish if in fact he does get the nod over Manning for Sunday’s game against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

4. player. 123. . QB. Dallas Cowboys. Tony Romo

Tony Romo got his first start since suffering a collarbone injury in Week 2 against the Eagles. Romo looked pretty sharp in his return against the Miami Dolphins, but didn’t put up over-average stats like I thought he would do.

He threw for 227 yards and 2 touchdowns to help the Cowboys get their first win since Week 2 when Romo got hurt. Romo is now 3-0 as a starter for Dallas, and considering they only have 3 total wins, Romo is obviously what makes the offense go.

Romo was injured in Week 12’s game with the Carolina Panthers, so I don’t know if he will be healthy enough to make a fantasy impact for the rest of the season.

WR. San Deigo Chargers. Stevie Johnson. 3. player. 13.

Stevie Johnson looked to be in store for a solid performance in Week 11. Johnson and the Chargers matched up with the extremely hot Kansas City Chiefs, and considering that the Chargers were without Keenan Allen and Malcolm Floyd, Johnson figured to be in store for a huge game.

He didn’t quite live up to the hype.

While being one of Philip Rivers’ top targets with 9 targets, Johnson ended with just 5 total fantasy points with 7 receptions for 54 yards. If you started Johnson, you probably weren’t happy with his output, and I probably would too. But seeing Rivers look his way is very encouraging heading forward.

Last Week’s Sit ‘Em

QB. Cincinnati Bengals. Andy Dalton. 2. player. 56.

Andy Dalton showed up big for his Week 11 matchups with one of the best defenses in the NFL, the Arizona Cardinals. Dalton managed to put up 25 fantasy points in standard, 6-point passing touchdown leagues in a game where many thought he could struggle.

Dalton is really developing this season into a must-start fantasy quarterback. Start Dalton (barring injury) in all leagues until further notice. He is just too good not to be in your lineup.

If you listened to me and decided to bench him because of his matchup with the Cardinals, I’m sorry, and all I can say is I will try again next time.

player. 49. . RB. Green Bay Packers. Eddie Lacy. 1

Eddie Lacy was a huge part of the Packers’ Week 11 matchup. Heading into the game, most thought that Lacy would see minimal action considering that James Starks was named the starter a few games ago and he also missed Week 10’s game with an injury as well.

Lacy got 22 carries and ended up with 10 total fantasy points. He broke the century mark for the first time this season and began to look like the guy that the Packers REALLY need him to be if they want to make a playoff run.

Lacy was definitely a risky start heading into last week, but if you took the risk, you got the reward.

This time.
