3) Heart of the bullpen is returning

To go along with the last slide and how the majority of the fan favorite position players were returning, the core of the bullpen will be coming back to Kansas City too.

Royals fans should especially be thankful for this Kansas City bullpen that has gone on to stun the nation and show that once they have a lead in the seventh inning, the game is as good as over.

While Greg Holland won’t be pitching for Kansas City due to needing Tommy John surgery, Wade Davis, Kelvin Herrera, and Luke Hochevar will all be back in Royals uniforms next year.

Be thankful for this Kansas City Royals bullpen, guys. Good bullpens win World Series as indicated by this past year.

Davis, Herrera, and Hochevar are the heart of this bullpen and really could be the new H-D-H (same initials too, only it’d likely be H-H-D since Davis is now the closer). These three are the only guaranteed relievers returning to action next year, but they’re the ones fans want back the most.

I’m thankful for Davis because come on… He’s Wade freaking Davis, man!

I’m thankful for Herrera because he provides that fiery spark. Remember when he threw a 100 MPH fastball behind Lawrie’s head? That was hilarious. I love Kelvin!

Lastly, I’m thankful for Hochevar because did you see him pitch in the playoffs? He pitched two innings of shutout baseball in Game 5 of the World Series and really grew to be that reliever we all knew he was capable of after coming off of Tommy John surgery last season.
