4) Most of the team is returning
The people of Kansas City fell in love with this Royals team in 2015. From Eric Hosmer to Salvador Perez, it was difficult for fans to pick which Royal was their favorite.
Personally, mine is and always will be Alex Gordon. Gordon might not be returning to Kansas City next year, at least not in a Royals uniform, but fortunately he’ll be one of the few that might depart.

Out of the Royals every day lineup, only Gordon and Ben Zobrist might be heading to another team. Alex Rios‘ option for next year was declined as well. That means Alcides Escobar, Lorenzo Cain, Eric Hosmer, Kendrys Morales, Mike Moustakas, and Salvador Perez will be returning to Kauffman Stadium in 2016. That in itself is something to be thankful for.
Fans were so thankful for all of these guys that they voted five of them to the All-Star Game. Cain, Escobar, Gordon, and Perez were all voted in as starters while Moustakas was the final AL player to get voted in.
The Royals were able to win the World Series with help from all of these guys, and even though it’ll be sad to potentially see both Gordon and Zobrist leave, the Royals will still have a lot of their badass guys returning to action next season.
