30. . Quarterback. New York Jets. Ryan Fitzpatrick. 5. player

Ryan Fitzpatrick has always been that quarterback that floats from team to team and always ends up in a starting role somehow. Since being drafted out of Harvard (yes, they play football there) by the St. Louis Rams in 2005, Fitzpatrick has been with five other teams.

The team where Fitzpatrick spent the most time was with the Buffalo Bills, where he played from 2009-2012. It was during his days as a Bill when Fitzpatrick irritated Chiefs fans the most. No matter what happened the rest of the season, Fitzpatrick always showed up in a big way against Kansas City.

It all started in December 2009 when Fitzpatrick was quarterbacking the Bills in week 14 of the 09 season. He led the Bills to a 16-10 win against the Chiefs at Arrowhead.

The next year the Chiefs beat Buffalo in overtime, but Fitzpatrick threw 48 pass attempts in the Bills’ loss. Fitz was able to connect with Steve Johnson late in the fourth quarter to notch the score at 10. The Chiefs won that one, but Fitzpatrick would have the last laugh in the next two meetings.

No matter what happened the rest of the season, Fitzpatrick always showed up in a big way against Kansas City.

The 2011 season was going to be a promising one after the Chiefs had won the AFC West the season before. Instead, Fitzpatrick and the Bills offense showed up to Arrowhead Stadium in the season opener and completed destroyed any momentum the Chiefs would have for the season.

Fitzpatrick threw four touchdown passes and over 200 yards in a 41-7 rout of the Chiefs. It began my hatred for Ryan Fitzpatrick, but the next season he decided he wasn’t done tormenting Kansas City.

The Chiefs traveled to play the Bills in week two of the 2012 season (which we all know now was the worst season in KC Chiefs history) and got their butts handed to them, once again by Fitzpatrick.

He didn’t have as good of a game this time around, but he still threw for two touchdowns and led the Bills to a 35-17 victory over Kansas City. The score makes it look like it was a closer game than it really was, but let it be known that this game was never close. The Bills led 21-0 at half time and 35-3 heading into the fourth quarter.

Ryan Fitzpatrick might not be high on a lot of fans’ lists simply because he’s not a well known name around the league, but I’ve always disliked him. Even now watching him with the New York Jets irritates me because I can’t help but think back to the days where he use to clobber the Kansas City Chiefs.
