Richard Rodgers is the number one tight end option for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. So far this season, he has struggled to make the impact that a lot of people thought he would when you consider the high-powered offense that he is a part of.

Even though this season as a whole has been somewhat disappointing, the last two weeks he has started to break out of his shell. He caught five passes for 32 yards and a touchdown in last Sunday’s loss to the Lions. The touchdown marks his third in the last two weeks.

Rodgers was quiet in the yardage department as he typically he is, but he got into the endzone for the fifth time this season and is starting to make a pretty big fantasy impact. Rodgers has been a pretty reliable red zone target for Aaron Rodgers, which makes him a viable starting caliber fantasy tight end in most leagues.

Four out of the last seven games on the remaining schedule for the Packers are all out of the top 17 when it comes to fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, so he has some pretty good matchups going forward.

If Rodgers is available in your league and you don’t have one of the top couple of guys, you should give him a look and probably a spot on your roster as well. The Packers will get out of this slump, and that high-powered offense will start to click again, so Rodgers should see plenty of targets come his way.
