The KC Chiefs won their third straight game on Sunday, and did so at the expense of the Denver Broncos.
Denver has had Kansas City’s number the past few years, especially once Peyton Manning arrived to the Mile High City. The Chiefs were able to finally get that coveted win against Manning though, their first since 2004 when he was with the Colts, and their first ever against him as a Bronco.
Yes, the Kansas City Chiefs, who were decked out in their all-white uniforms on Sunday, finally defeated their arch nemesis for the first time in almost four years.
The Chiefs are now 4-5 on the year and their playoff hopes are still very much alive, with only the New York Jets ahead of them as Wildcard potentials right now.
After the way the Chiefs lost to Denver in week two on Thursday Night Football for the entire nation to see, you had to think the Chiefs players were waiting for this rematch all season long. They certainly played like it too, and went on to crush the Broncos 29-13 in what could have possibly been Manning’s last game in his career.
It’s been a weird season in the National Football League, but the Chiefs are benefitting from it as of lately. Let’s take a look at the good, the bad, and the ugly from the Kansas City Chiefs’ fourth win of the season and their first against the Broncos since 2012 (in the 2011 season).
