Week 10 of the 2015 NFL season is here, and that means it is time to take a look at those fantasy football lineups. This is my weekly Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em article where I try to help you make some tough lineup decisions, whether that means starting a players that normally doesn’t start for your team, or benching a player that is normally in your starting lineup.
Here are my Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em picks from last week. To get to Week 10’s start/sit picks, just go to the next slide of the article.
Last Week’s Start ‘Em
DeAngelo Williams had an amazing first game filling in for starter Le’Veon Bell, who tore his ACL against the Cincinnati Bengals the week before.
Williams ended up 225 total yards and 2 rushing touchdowns, which is good for 36 fantasy points in standard scoring leagues against the Raiders last week. He is obviously now a must-start option, as this was his third start of the year for the Steelers, and he has continued to put up double-digit fantasy numbers.
Get him in your lineup if you have him until proven otherwise.
Week 9 was the first week in which reserve rookie running back Jeremy Langford could be called a starting NFL running back, as he was filling in for the injured Matt Forte.
With Forte out, Langford took full advantage, tallying 70 yards on the ground, 70 yards receiving, and also tallied a touchdown as well.
Langford proved he is a quite capable NFL back, and that he should be started in all leagues if he does get the starting nod for the Bears. If Forte is out again this week, get Langford in your lineup.
Dez Bryant had his first good game of the season in Week 9 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Bryant had missed numerous games earlier on in the season with a pretty serious foot injury that he suffered all the way back in Week 1.
Bryant ended last week with 5 catches for over 100 receiving yards. He also scored his first touchdown of the season.
He showed again that any time he is active, he is a very viable starting caliber receiver in all formats, even without Tony Romo at the helm.
If you have Dez, don’t be afraid to start him for the rest of the season barring injury.
Last Week’s Sit ‘Em
Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts had a tough matchup in Week 9 with the best defense in the NFL right now, the Denver Broncos.
This didn’t phase Luck at all though, as he led the Colts to victory and handed the Broncos their first loss of the season. Luck threw for over 250 yards and also scored two touchdowns in his first game without former Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton, who was fired after Week 8.
Luck should be a good option from here on out in fantasy. That is, when he returns from the injury he suffered last week. He should be out from 3-6 weeks.
Frank Gore also had the tough matchup against the relentless Denver Broncos defense, but he to was not bothered by it at all.
He finished the game with 15 fantasy points in standard scoring leagues, tied for his second best performance so far in a Colts uniform. Gore has proven to be a pretty consistent back regardless of the competition.
Gore is a pretty solid #2 fantasy back in all leagues until proven otherwise. Start him if you can, especially now with Luck being sidelined for several games.
