Ramik Wilson was a fourth round pick by the KC Chiefs in the draft this year and has been playing more like an early round pick. He has started two games in Josh Mauga‘s absence and has played in six total games.
He has 13 tackles on the season along with the one recovered fumble and the one touchdown as a result.
Wilson’s biggest play this season came in week five when he was able to recover a Jay Cutler fumble in the end zone for a touchdown to put the Chiefs up 7-0 early against the Bears. It was an impressive play by the rookie, and showed fans that this kid could be the real deal.
Wilson has seen ample playing time this season due to Mauga’s injury and has almost played better than Mauga at times. He has 13 tackles on the season along with the one recovered fumble and the one touchdown as a result.
Hopefully Wilson can continue to play this well down the stretch because if so, this Chiefs defense could have a stacked squad in the coming years.
