KC Chiefs: Rookie Report Cards At The Bye Week

The Chiefs offensive line has been a concern dating back to last season, but the center position, despite Rodney Hudson departing during free agency, hasn’t seemed to be one of them. Mitch Morse was drafted in the second round out of Missouri, and I was confused on this one.
There seemed to be better options on the board available at center, but John Dorsey liked that Morse had versatility along the line. At the time of the pick, Eric Kush was still thought to be a legitimate option at center and Morse could have been plugged into basically any other spot on the line.
Andy Reid liked Morse at center though, and it’s not hard to see why. Morse has been good.
The offensive line has started to click a little more as the season has gone on, but that’s the only reason I gave Morse a B as opposed an an A was due to the amount of sacks Alex Smith has sustained this season.
