First and foremost, I couldn’t be more proud of our Royals fan base.

As this team started to become a winner again, a few years ago, you started filling the stadium. As a kid of the 1980’s, I remember this town being a baseball town, and knew that could be restored given the right product on the field.

I’ve always maintained this was a baseball town because that was the way I remembered it as a boy.

As decades of ineptitude and lousy baseball were strung together, the laughter I’d receive when making that assertion became louder and louder, but not near as loud as the cheerful screams and yells as Kauffman Stadium became a formidable home-field advantage for our boys in blue.
