Start ‘Em #1

DeAngelo Williams is now the Pittsburgh Steelers starting running back after starter Le’Veon Bell went down win what looked like a significant ACL tear in his knee. Williams has been good so far in Bell’s absence, as he had to start for the Steelers at the beginning of the season as well because Bell was suspended due to violating the leagues’ substance abuse policy.

Bell’s injury comes just one week after the Steelers finally welcomed back Ben Roethlisberger who injured his knee as well a couple of weeks before. The entire team struggled in the absence of Big Ben, but now with him back in the lineup, Williams should be able to continue his hot streak.

In Week 9, Williams and the Steelers matchup with the surprisingly good Oakland Raiders. The Raiders currently fall in the middle of the pack (15th) when it comes down to fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs.

Consider Williams a solid #2 fantasy running back this week and start him if at all possible. This should be a game where Williams breaks double-digits pretty easily in my opinion.
