. . . OFFENSE . F
I really didn’t have a choice here. When the offense puts up 110 yards and no points on the board, it’s hard to give them a passing grade.
The offense looked helpless in this one. Joe Hubener looked terrible, completing only four passes for 39 yards and two interceptions. He was benched after the first half in favor of wide receiver Kody Cook. Cook didn’t fare much better, completing one pass for six yards and later tossing a pick six to an OU defender.
Nothing was working for K-State on offense against the Sooners. It was an embarrassing outing for the Wildcats from top to bottom.
The running game wasn’t any better, only accounting for 65 yards. Cook had 11 carries for 19 yards and was the leading rusher for KSU. That’s not a good sign.
The receiving game was worse yet, with only 45 total yards on the day. Of course, the poor quarterback play is responsible for a lot of that, but still. Not good.
The Wildcats only had seven first downs on the day. Awful.
Nothing was working for K-State on offense against the Sooners. It was an embarrassing outing for the Wildcats from top to bottom, and they need to get straightened out for their next game or else it could be a long end to the season in Manhattan.
