Fantasy Football 2015 WeeK Six is here and it is time to look at the Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em candidates for this week’s match-ups.
This is my Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em article where I try to help you make some tough lineup decisions, whether that means starting a player that normally doesn’t start for your team, or benching a player that is normally in your starting lineup.
Here are my Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em picks from LAST week; To get to Week 6’s start/sit picks just go to the next slide of the article.
Last Week’s Start ‘Em
Doug Martin most definitely had a career game in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars awful defense. He ended with 33 points in standard scoring leagues, finishing the game with close to 160 total yards and three touchdowns.
Martin is turning into quite the fantasy running back this year, just when almost all owners, even his past supporters have lost faith in him because of his struggles the past two years.
If you started Martin last week, you probably were very happy with your final score as well as Martin’s output.
T.J. Yeldon had the best game so far in the NFL last week in terms of fantasy production. He ended with 12 points in standard scoring leagues and finally found the endzone for the first time this season.
Yeldon is a very talented back, and he should do nothing but continue to improve this young season.
I would continue to value Yeldon pretty high in most leagues, as there are simply not that many good running back options this year. Continue to have him in your lineup and you shouldn’t be disappointed.
Terrance Williams had his second worse game of the season last week, only hauling in two passes against the New England Patriots.
I thought that Williams would have a good game last week because I thought that the Pats would dominate the Cowboys for the majority of the game, forcing them to air the ball out more. More passes, more catches for Williams.
I was right about the Cowboys getting beat down, but I wasn’t right about Williams’ fantasy output. Hopefully, you had better options last week and didn’t have to rely on him.
Last Week’s Sit ‘Em
Russell Wilson had his worst game so far this season in terms of fantasy output. He put up very mediocre numbers against a much improved Cincinnati Bengals defense that simply held him in check.
I thought that the Bengals D would pose a problem for the young quarterback, and he was also dealing with the absence of Marshawn Lynch in the lineup because of injury.
Wilson is normally a pretty good play in fantasy football, but he was simply not good last week because of the matchup. Watch for matchups like this in the future for Wilson, as he has a few more on the schedule.
