Infielders

The infield is pretty much set in stone when it comes to the starters. We know Eric Hosmer will be starting at first base and Kendrys Morales will serve as the designated hitter and Hosmer’s backup at first. Ben Zobrist will get the nod at second base, as Omar Infante likely won’t even be on the postseason roster due to injury.

Alcides Escobar is a shoe-in to start at shortstop, we know that. Mike Moustakas will be at third. Christian Colon is a lock to make it due to the fact that he can play multiple positions.

The last two guys to make the roster are Salvador Perez and Drew Butera. Perez is an obvious choice, as he’s the starting catcher, and Butera is the backup catcher, which is another no brainer. Butera might not be a great hitter, but the good news is that he’d only be used as a backup should something happen to Perez.

There’s your 25-man roster folks.
