KC Chiefs: Areas To Improve On After Week Two

Offense
Nothing was good here.
If the Chiefs want to beat teams like Green Bay and Cincinnati in the next few weeks, the offense has to play better.
Sure, the KC Chiefs offense put up 17 points, but it really should have been more. Alex Smith had a bad night (two interceptions), the offensive line played like crap, and I don’t know what Jamaal Charles’ problem was (two fumbles). It was just all around a bad effort on the offense’s part.
Last week against the Texans, we saw the offense light up the scoreboard early with 27 points and THEN go cold. This game they were cold all night, and it was actually 90 some degrees outside in Kansas City so they should have been fired up (see what I did there?).
If the Chiefs want to beat teams like Green Bay and Cincinnati in the next few weeks, the offense has to play better. We’ll get to more of these individually, just wait, but the offense as a whole played like crap.
We lost that game because of the offense more than anything else. Next.
