KC Chiefs: Areas To Improve On After Week Two

STOP TURNING THE BALL OVER!
This is a no brainer.
Any team that turns the ball over five times is going to have a hard time winning the game. Somehow, the Chiefs almost won this won (they never trailed until the final thirty seconds), which goes to show that the Broncos aren’t great, but at least they didn’t lose like that. Or lose at all.
Every time the Chiefs turned the ball over, it made it that much easier for Denver to try and win.
The first turnover came in the red zone by Jamaal Charles. The Chiefs had marched right down the field and it looked like it’d be a promising drive that’d result in some KC points, but then Charles fumbled. Of course.
De’Anthony Thomas fumbled early in the second quarter while trying to return a punt. Neither of those fumbles gave the Broncos points, but still… You can’t turn the ball over this much especially in the red zone.

The third turnover was an Alex Smith interception with two minutes to go in the half. That was a bad call. The Chiefs should have been running the ball, but maybe because of all of the fumbles, they decided not to risk it. Hell, I don’t know.
The fourth turnover was another Smith interception, this time in the red zone and RIGHT to Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. Horrible throw.
The fifth (FIFTH) turnover was the game sealing fumble by Charles to give the Broncos the lead in the last thirty seconds of the game.
How embarrassing. All you can do is laugh though. It was that weird of a game.
