Welcome to Week 2 of the NFL and Fantasy Football season!

It’s the weekend, so it’s time to make those tough fantasy lineup decisions. This is my weekly Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em article where I go over who may have a good week and who may have a bad fantasy week as well.

Now, this article isn’t here to tell you to start Aaron Rodgers or something as obvious as that, but rather to help you make those tough flex play decisions and maybe put someone on your bench that would normally be in the game and vice-versa.

Here are my Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em picks for Week 1:

Last Week’s Start ‘Em

49. . WR. Green Bay Packers. Davante Adams. 5. player

Adams was definately involved in the Packers offense in Week 1 with star wide-out Jordy Nelson on the IR for the season, getting 8 targets in the passing game.

The problem wasn’t that he wasn’t involved in the offense, but rather that he struggled to capitalize on his opportunities he was given.

He ended with just 59 total yards and 5 points in standard scoring fantasy leagues.

Teammate James Jones arose to the occasion when the Packers needed him and scored two touchdowns from Aaron Rodgers in his first game back in Green Bay.

Adams should have a solid season, but the addition of James Jones to the wide out corp could cause him to lose some targets. I would still play him as a flex if you don’t have another better option.

Eli Manning. 4. player. 31. . QB. New York Giants

Eli Manning was simply a flop in Week 1 against the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.

He didn’t get into the endzone and struggled throughout to get the ball to his main play-makers such as Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz (injured).

Manning has a very high fantasy ceiling this year in my opinion with the though in mind that he hasn’t had Beckham and Cruz together healthy but a few games in their 2 seasons together.

Manning didn’t get it done this week, but I think he will prove to be a relatively solid and consistent fantasy quarterback in the coming weeks.

Last Week’s Sit ‘Em

Buffalo Bills DST. 3. player. 16. . DST. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills defense really made their presence felt in Week 1 against one of the best offenses in the NFL in the Indianapolis Colts and Andrew Luck.

The Bills only allowed 14 total points against the Clots, and also forced 3 turnovers, including 2 interceptions from Luck.

The Bills defense should be outstanding this year, but I didn’t see their squad being able to handle one of the best offenses in the league. But they did.

They really proved themselves as a defensive unit in Week 1, and should be considered as a starting caliber fantasy defense for the rest of the foreseeable future.

New York Jets. Brandon Marshall. 2. player. 30. . WR

Brandon Marshall surprisingly had a very good debut with the New York Jets against a tough Cleveland Browns’ defense that is headlined by cornerback Joe Haden, who was on Marshall for part of the game.

Marshall ended with 62 yards and a touchdown on 6 receptions in Week 1.

Marshall numbers suggest that he is a good #2 fantasy receiver, but I just have a bad feeling about his situation in New York.

I don’t see his success being consistent in the near future.

1. player. 10. . RB. Houston Texans. Alfred Blue

As I expected, Texans’ current starting running back Alfred Blue struggled mightily against a tough Chiefs defense.

He ended up with just 49 total yards on 11 total touches, and never really got to get into a rhythm, as the Texans trailed the Chiefs for the entire game, forcing quarterbacks Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallett to throw the ball for the majority of the game.

Blue is a talented back, but he is nothing more than a flex option until he proves his worth and gets a better matchup, as he has a few tough games before his schedule starts to lighten up.

Not a very good start to the season, but I think that I can do better this week than last. Make sure to hit the link below in order to see Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em for Week 2.
