The KC Chiefs looked like a playoff team after Week 1.

Leading by as many as 21 points on the road against a Houston Texans defense touted as one of the best in the NFL, the Chiefs held on for a 27-20 victory to start the season 1-0.

While the Chiefs very well may be a playoff team, that win does not guarantee it. The Tennessee Titans walked out of Arrowhead Stadium last year after Week 1 with a 26-10 victory, only to finish the season 2-14.

However, the pieces certainly seem to be in place for KC this season to be a contender – something GM John Dorsey and Head Coach Andy Reid have steadily been building the past 3-plus years.

A big test as to whether the Chiefs are one of the best AFC teams, or just another middle of the pack squad, is tonight when they host the Denver Broncos.

Quarterback Peyton Manning appears to have lost a step, but the Broncos came from behind to defeat a solid Baltimore Ravens squad with the help of their Pro Bowl (and former Kansas Jayhawk) cornerback, Aqib Talib.

Let’s take a look at what the Chiefs bring to the table tonight against their AFC West foe.
