3) The defensive line is really good

All game long, fans on Twitter couldn’t stop talking about this defensive front. Even without Dontari Poe for a portion of the game, the Chiefs continually had Brian Hoyer under pressure, and were able to stuff the run all game.

The Chiefs take on a weak Denver offensive line on Thursday, and should be able to easily exploit that. Peyton Manning is only good when he’s actually standing in the pocket, and the defensive line will be even better when Poe returns full time.

Bob Sutton has done such a great job of building up that strong defense, and gets creative during games which allows them to be so good. They haven’t had much success against Peyton in the past, but it’s a primetime game at home, so I have a feeling they’ll be fired up and ready to go.

As the season progresses, it will be fun to watch the young players develop, especially guys like Dee Ford and cornerback Marcus Peters. If all is well, Justin Houston might get close to breaking that sack record again.
