Kansas State football is now 2-0 on the season, as they took down the Texas San Antonio Roadrunners on Saturday by a score of 30-3.
The Kansas State Wildcats looked sharp on Saturday. It was quarterback Joe Hubener’s first career start with the Wildcats, and the commentators on the broadcast said that he hadn’t started since he was on junior varsity in his high school days.
Last week, I did a Good, Bad, Ugly for K-State’s season opener and will rotate each week between that and the report card. This week’s edition of Kansas State football recap is a report card, and how it works is I will pick several areas from the game and grade them.
With it being a 30-3 victory, there weren’t a lot of negative aspects from this game for the Wildcats. There were some “meh” aspects though, and I’ll address those, don’t worry.
Before we start, I just want to say that if I had a dollar for every flag that was thrown in this game, I’d have a million dollars. Okay, not really, but there were a lot of penalties called in this game. UTSA had 12 and Kansas State had nine. Yikes.
All right with that out of the way, let’s get this show on the road!
